Thrive – Packaging Design

Objective: With a focus on package design, create a brand and assemble a packaging suite for a product of your choosing.
Concept: Thrive is a company that manufactures growing kits for the different state flowers. The kit includes seeds, soil, and a decorative pot with custom illustrations. Thrive hopes to teach local residents about their state flower, while also allowing them to take it home and watch it thrive. Deliverables for this project included logo with hand drawn typography, custom flower illustrations and physically produced items – box, seed packet, label, tag and soil insert.

Both the logo and flower illustrations work well together to convey a handmade feel for the thrive brand and products.

The state flower of Texas is a bluebonnet, and the custom line illustrations of this flower were created by hand with a Micron pen.

The state flower growing kit includes 1 decorative flower pot with the flower illustration on it, a bag of compressed soil discs, 1 seed packet in the shape of the state, and 1 decorative soil insert.
